NA: Nintendo Is Handing Out Animal Crossing Amiibo Card Collector’s Book At Events

We previously posted about the Animal Crossing amiibo card collector’s book appearing on Amazon UK. Unfortunately, there was no listing of this product on the Amazon US website, and no release date for when it might happen. However, according to the Amiibo Alerts Twitter account, a similar product is being given to people for free at certain gaming events in North America such as the GameStop event that took place over the weekend. It’s being handed out as an official promotional item for the recent release of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer.

Keep your eyes peeled at gaming events in North America for these being handed out, as unfortunately we don’t have further details on which particular events these will pop up at next. You can keep up to date on upcoming events on Nintendo’s website. Let us know if you manage to get your hands one!

  1. This would have made a good reward on Club Nintendo if it was still around. But it would have only appeared on the European or Japanese Club Nintendo, since it’s not cheap and dumb enough to qualify for the North American Club Nintendo. Seriously, most of the North American Club Nintendo rewards were SO lame! I mean, come on……..a Majora’s Mask jigsaw puzzle and cheap-ass tote bag? Those final rewards (not to mention the Platinum/Gold rewards for the last 2 years being only digital games) sucked swollen baboon butt! I hope the new rewards system gives gamers some justice.

    1. Oh god, just shut your fucking mouth about fucking Club Nintendo and how Nintendo hates the US. Club Ninteno is fucking over and you guys also get tons of shit the rest of the world doesn’t get. Fucking live with it.

      1. If this was still the 90s & early 2000s, you’d have a point there. But this isn’t the 90s or early 2000s anymore. We don’t get tons of shit the rest of the world doesn’t get anymore. If anything, we’re all getting equally screwed these days by Nintendo’s reward systems, bundles, etc

    2. >>>Justice? CN was a free bonus system, they don’t even need to give you anything>>>

        1. >>>Another one that can’t face the truth, but what to expect from a human>>>

      1. But we had to buy stuff in order to get the points needed to even use the “free” bonus system. If we spend thousands of dollars on their products, we deserve to be given good rewards when they offer it to us. The sad thing is, most European gamers were getting screwed by Club Nintendo, too, even though they got nice physical rewards because of how pricey the stuff on Club Nintendo was.

        1. >>>No, you buy things because you want to play them, not buy things only to get some other things for free>>>

          >>>Or do you only buy products just to fill your point level?>>>

          >>>If you felt forced to buy games and their products just because you felt you were forced to get these points then the blame is on you not them>>>

          1. What I meant was that after many, many years of supporting these jackasses, if they are going to give us rewards for support, the rewards should be worthwhile & shouldn’t be half assed just because they are free. That’s like giving someone dirty, nasty, rotting food & saying “But it’s free so quit complaining!”

            1. >>>Well I can’t argue with that much, I just think some are blowing it out of proportion>>>

              1. Of course some are blowing it out of proportion. There is always going to be a small group doing that. It’s inevitable. This logic is definitely undeniable. lol

              1. Very true. Maybe some of us are being ungrateful for the free stuff because people are without it. Then again, I’m part of the group of people upset not just because of the crummy rewards but because other places are getting screwed & don’t get a damn thing; I just fail to mention that part sometimes because I’m wrapped up in my own personal problems that I legitimately forget about the less fortunate. Whether we like it or not, all humans are selfish to some degree. There’s no denying that. After all, we’re imperfect animals at the end of the day. The fact we’ve developed reasoning skills, technology, etc has made a ton of our kind forget that fact.

      2. More importantly, regardless of the region getting them, these rewards/bonuses fucking SUCK because you can easily buy them at an official retailer or digital store. I see where The Collector is coming from because rewards/bonuses should be things we can’t get anywhere else or are hard to get because of rarity.

        1. >>>True, however like I said, it was free and none of you lost anything so you are all just complaining over things that are free>>>

  2. >>>Now that the American humans get something exclusive, they keep their mouths shut and don’t complain to why the rest of the world don’t get them>>>

  3. Lame. How about something we can’t get anywhere else, hm? If I really wanted these, I can just buy them. Otherwise, I’m not going to rush to get something “free” at an event because I have to actually pay for gas to even get said free item. I might as well just order this shit at home & save on gas.
