US: Standalone Chibi-Robo Amiibo Is An Amazon Exclusive, Pre-orders Open Tomorrow

If you’ve been dying to get your hands on the adorable Chibi-Robo amiibo, but don’t want to throw down $40 for the Zip Lash bundle, Amazon’s got your back. Starting tomorrow at 2:00 PM PT, Amazon US will be accepting pre-orders for the pint-sized robot, and they urge customers to be ready.

According to the official Reddit post, there will be a limit of two amiibo per customer, and one-click ordering will be available. Like other amiibo, Amazon expects Chibi-Robo to sell out fast, and suggests that buyers sort out their billing and shipping info before the pre-order goes up, as putting the amiibo in your cart does not reserve it.  If you have any questions, you can head over the Reddit post, and ask the Amazon representative questions until 3PM PT tomorrow, but don’t wait too long!

      1. Just asking because I was trying to collect them all but scalpers and Nintendo being Nintendo releasing limited quantities made me quit trying.

        1. I don’t blame you. I came close to stopping several times due to the frustration of constantly going broke, and having a difficult time finding some of them. But so far I’ve been lucky enough to have nearly every one. And every time I’m thinking of stopping, another one (or series, such as Animal Crossing) comes out and makes me go bananas. It’s a non-stop cycle.

        2. Same. I gave up. Not worth $30-50 per amiibo (besides Mario and friends)

Fuck Amiibo. I will pursue shovel knight but Amiibo are only for people who can afford to burn a shit-ton of cash or that live in the UK, where apparently they are easy to find.
