You will be interested to know that Super Mario Maker has received an update today which brings it to Version 1.31. Don’t get too excited as the update is a pretty standard one that includes “adjustments” that look to provide “a more pleasant gaming experience.” The update is only 298MB.
Super Mario Maker Version 1.31 Available

It’s “only 298mb”? That’s big enough (that’s what she said)…lol
That’s a big update for just adjustments. I sense somewhere in it is a chunk of gold for data miners.
I’m assuming that it’s adding more character costumes for events, and probably some new stuff that, like you said, is a chunk of gold for data miners.
a more pleasant gaming experience, 300mb
MY ASS
So, i found conformation that there well be a Wii U version Homebrew channel, u won’t need to use VWii Mode anymore! https://gbatemp.net/threads/what-will-be-possible-with-iosu-a-list-of-things.406504/
I guess some of the data is event courses and stuff like that, but it’s still a huge amount of data…
What update that only “makes a more pleasant gaming experience” takes up nearly 300 MB?
That cannot possibly been the extent of this update.
Who are they trying to fool with that big a file size? lol Gonna give some people the impression that Super Mario Maker must have a shit load of problems with it with a file size that big just for “a more pleasant gaming experience.” Good thing I know better, though.
My question is if they finally fixed the terrible frame-rate of the New Super Mario Bros. Wii U skin for the game. Everything about the game is so smooth, unless you have one giant goomba on the screen while using that skin.
