2016 is looking like a bumper year for us gamers with a number of high profile titles on the horizon. US publication Gametrailers has taken a look at what’s due to be released this year and has produced a list of the games that they believe are the most highly anticipated. It’s a list full of big name titles for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U, but it’s a shame The Legend of Zelda Wii U could only make it to number 10.

Nintendo stopped aiming for number one a long time ago…
Nintendo messed up the hype by delaying the game. It won’t do well cuz by the time it releases people’s excitement and anticipation will have fizzled out.
Well … Not everyone but I’m sure a good percentage will feel anticlimactic.
Not if they do a big hype inducing blowout at E3 that is for sure to come. Anyways, I’m hyped for a new Zelda game anytime any place!
And people would have whined that there wasn’t more content or something was done wrong if they released it early. In other words, b*tch no matter what they do.
Unless they wow us with something BIG. Like, remember when at E3 2004 when they showed Link on horseback with his sword drawn for TP? That kind of big, only… bigger, which I’m not sure how they can do that.
Persona 5 was delayed twice so far, though. Still surprised Zelda isn’t higher.
To be honest they really haven’t shown much. You have to show something substantial to generate hype, without that hype there won’t be nearly as many people hyped for the game, that’s just how it works.
Well that just means that they’ve saved all the hype goodies for now to generate hype before the release.

The difference is that you and a lot of people here already know about the game and are already hyped. Nintendo gotta push Zelda hype so hard that people scream with happiness and run to Gamestop for a Wii U!

Yeah, I agree. I want to be excited, but they haven’t shown much of the game… So I don’t have any reason to be hyped. I hope they have a good E3 presentation planned lol
They havent shown shit about The Last Guardian either… Thats just the opinion of whoever made that list … who cares.
They showed some gameplay(Finally) of it last year at e3 2015
Only game on this list I want is Final Fantasy XV….and that’s only because I’ve been waiting for Versus XIII for 10+ years. Where are the handheld games in this list? Those are what I enjoy the most.
Fantastic list! Hyped for every one of em. With Final Fantasy XV and Uncharted 4 top of my list. I love this year. Gonna be so much better than 2015!
I don’t know about that. 2015 was one of the best years in gaming (except for Nintendo who released probably like 4 good games)
Persona 5 and scalebound and street fighter 5 and final fantasy 15 and world of final fantasy and project X zone 2 and the crossover for the wii u and I’m sure many more I can’t remember right now and back to xcx
As soon as Nintendo so shows off Zelda U again at E3 it will rise to top 3.
I dunno about that. The competition for top spot is huge.
I was initially interested in Persona 5, but I don’t like the vigilante theme they seem to be going for.
Weird that a lot of Japanese feel that same way because it’s a cliche there. I’m still looking forward to it because it seems different for Persona 3/4.
I can’t wait to get FFXV for my PS4! FFXV is going to be the first main entry in the franchise, that most of us are aware of, that is taking place in the same universe as a previous main entry. I wonder if FFXV takes place in the future or the past of FFXIII.
I started with FFXIII. I think it’s ok so far. I wanna try to beat the whole trilogy.
FFXV and Persona 5 are definately are at the top of my list for PS4 games XD Been waiting forever for both of those!
