It’s not every day that a trip to the mall involves cosplaying as Mario characters in an effort to race to the finish line on crazy go-karts. But this is exactly what Base37 and some of his friends did. Uninvited, the group raced through Westfield Shopping Centre – which is situated in Stratford, London – and even used bananas to trip each other up, just like in Mario Kart. Though there were no blue spiny shells in sight, thank goodness, it was a mad dash for the team IRL within “Coconut Mall”.
Unfortunately, fun cannot last forever. As the race ended, they departed in their vehicles and were stopped by police. You can check it all out in the video they uploaded below. Would you fancy trying your hands on a real life Mario Kart course? Let us know in the comments below.
No audio here – Why were they stopped at the end while they were in their vehicle?
Yup.

Nintendo fans are best fans.
Why did they arrest them though? Is it really illegal to go through a commercial center with a tricycle?
I don’t think they were arrested. Probably just got a ticket or maybe a warning.
This is just a normal way of life for my ex (who also lives in the UK). Anime and cosplay completely corrupted her mind, and now it’s all she does with her life now. Such a freakin’ BORING thing to do on a constant, regular basis. So much for graduating from a University.
How would you know that it is boring if she is constantly interested in it unless if you thought it was bad for to be interested in it everyday
I just find cosplaying to be incredibly lame and childish. Aside from that, it was one of many reasons that caused our breakup. She cared more about organizing cosplay events than she did about me. It was like I didn’t even exist anymore. I’m thankful for us breaking up now, because I could never tolerate cosplay events being her whole life. She was too immature for me. But I’ll always hate the world of cosplay and anime because of her.
Why is it lame and childish I just see it as a thing people do to express their appreciation of something and damn just because of her you hate something you could possibly like
No way. I can imagine someone like that being the perfect partner for me. The fact that she likes anime is already good, but cosplaying takes it to a whole new level. Did she like to play video games too?
Yes, but not nearly as much as me. If I ever find someone new, I want the girl to be more like me. I want video gaming to be her biggest passion. Then we’d get along just peachy.
If I found someone, I would want them to be just like her. Except also play video games. That would be 10/10 for me. I don’t want a boring regular lady. ;(
So you want to date yourself…
Process that for a bit.
Understandable. My ex cheated on me with and lowly actor from a movie that she met at one of those events.
I guess that’s where my distaste for it comes from. Thanks for letting me see that now.

Finally some actual interesting and entertaining news
This is the best video news bit I think I’ve ever come across on here. That looks so fkkn fun. I want one of those cart things they’re driving!
