Amazon US: $4.83 Chibi-Robo Amiibo

Online retailer, Amazon is offering the adorable Chibi-Robo amiibo for the dirt-cheap price of $4.83. The pint-sized adventurer has seen plenty of reductions in the past due to its poor sales, but at this price they’re practically giving it away. Are you planning on scraping together the change to add this little guy to your collection? If so, you can find him here.

  1. Ah geez. Remember when they said Zip Lash would be the final Chibi-Robo game if it didn’t sell well? I’m not sure how much the actual game sold, but if the amiibo is anything to go by…

    Dang.

    1. Nintendo blackmailed Chibi-Robo fans big time… They delivered a 2D Chibi-Robo title, and still dared to say “If this game does not sell well, say Chibi-Robo farewell!”

People at Nintendo has been completely out of touch.

~*If the future of Chibi Robo is it being a sidescroller instead of what it was originally on the Gamecube, good. If a franchise can’t survive on the mechanics of it’s original, it just shouldn’t continue. That’s like making future Mario games where he doesn’t jump anymore.*~

  2. This is it, Chibi Robo will never see the light of day again. Anyone who wanted him in Smash or a game like the original might as well make a grave for their hopes and dreams. The series is just as dead as Golden Sun and Custom Robo at this point.

    1. Sad, but true — I love Golden Sun, and Sin and Punishment as well.

Nintendo does not know how to manage its own IPs… It’s a shame!

      1. True. Still better than Sega, who pretends that most of their Genesis or Dreamcast IP’s don’t exist. And when they bring some of them back, they fuck them up (Golden Axe being a good example).

        1. Man… I would buy a new Golden Axe, Wonder Boy, After Burner, ToeJam & Earl, Dragon Force, and Alex Kidd in a heartbeat!

I really don’t understand why Sega don’t pay attention to those franchises!

At least it seems that Sega has been allowing Atlus to take their own business decisions when it comes to their franchises.

~*Damn. I got Chibi-Robo back when it was worth around 7-8 bucks. I should have held off a little longer on getting him. BUT I didn’t want to take the chance of not getting him then & him being sold out later. Oh well. It’s just 2 bucks less anyway.*~
