A preview of the latest Famitsu issue has revealed a new character for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 6. Their name is Nayuta Sadmadhi, who will serve as a new courtroom rival for Phoenix Wright and his friends.
Other of Sadmadhi’s personality, we know little about the new rival. It was revealed, however, that Sadmadhi is an “International prosecutor” and an “eminent monk in the Kingdom of Kurain”. They have “devout belief in their religion”. They believe that “convicting the guilty in court will bring salvation for their victims”. The preview continues, saying that Sadmadhi has a “soft demeanor, but has a sharp tongue”. It is currently unknown what Sadmadhi’s gender is.
No release date on Ace Attorney 6 has been announced at this time.

I’d place high bets that Nayuta is a woman. We already know that the women of Kurain take the higher roles in the community due to spiritual powers running only in the female bloodlines, never with the men. So I’d hazard to guess that with it being the Kingdom of Kurain, rules by a female leader, it would make the most sense for women to lead the role of prosecutors as well, especially with the trials being lead using spiritual techniques and practises. Just makes the most sense.
