Liam Robertson who contributes to Unseen 64 has uncovered the truth behind the long-rumoured Pilotwings title which was in the planning stages by Rogue Squadron developer Factor 5. While Factor 5 were extremely interested in pursuing the project a number of factors led to the project being shelved. Be sure to watch the video to find out everything.
Video: Factor 5 Wanted To Make Pilotwings For GameCube

It’s kind of sad how Factor 5 seemed to have quite a few ideas for both GCN and Wii games and they got shot down most of the time.
Considering they ultimately made Lair which turned out to be a disaster, I’m surprised. It seems their Star Wars games were more just a lucky accident for them.
Weird. I’m too busy to watch the video, but I wonder how credible this information is.
Given that it was supplied by the person who ran Factor 5, I would say so.
Alright. I’m not used to Liam giving actual sources. Or being accurate.
I regularly give named sources and accurate information. Prove me otherwise.
Uh-oh? You have an account here now…. SHIT! XD You didn’t see comments of me insulting you and Emily Rogers, did ya? I’M DEAD!!!! LOL :(
Okay. I’ll use 2 recent bits that come to mind.
Shovel Knight in Smash – False, no sources
Star Fox Zero rumors – no sources
…were you the one who said Nintendo wasn’t publishing Devils Third? If so, that was wrong too. And no sources.
I don’t follow you closely. So I don’t know how often you get information correct. But when a journalist writes false information (Kotaku, IGN, Gamespot) they lose a lot of credibility to me.
If you thought I was talking exclusively about Unseen64, I wasn’t. I have never watched any of these videos. Did you list sources for the apparent Harry Potter Nintendo game?
I feel like I’m the only one who finds Pilotwings 64 even better than Resort on the 3DS.
There’s at least two of us.
I would really appreciate an option in the Pilotwings series to go full simulation or something close. It seems each version gets simpler and simpler.
Ass shit nintendo
Another one of those games I never understood the appeal of (though it’s slightly more understandable than the appeal of Fire Emblem).
