  1. I think this is the first time I’ve seen anyone put an Xbox controller over a Playstation controller.

But in any case, the GCN still remains my favorite to this day.

  2. I’ve never held a Xbox 360 controller before. But if it’s anything like the original Xbox controllers (the big ones OR the small ones) , it’s a piece of CRAP that doesn’t even deserve to be on this list at all (let alone # 1). And as much as I love the Gamecube controller, the Wii U Pro Controller beats it all the way. I’ve never held a more comfortable controller that had all buttons in the proper places. And the Nintendo 64 controller was horrible, simply because of the location of the analog stick. It made holding it feel so awkward.

    1. The 360 controller is pretty decent, not better than the dual shock 4 IMO. The dual shock 4 is the most comfortable controller out right now. It’s made for adult hands, not a child’s hand. That’s honestly why I like the Wii U gamepad too.

  3. Till the Gamepad came out, the Gamecube controller was the best, however the Gamepad is the best and they don’t even have it on there…just sad. It’s only problem is the battery life lol.

  4. I think they’re all good for different reasons.

The SNES controller is good for 2D games because it’s simple and has just the right amount of buttons, but it’s useless for 3D games since it has no joysticks.

The N64 controller is perfect for 3D platformers because of the C-buttons and Z placement, but it’s not great for much else due to the unregular layout and the fact that it only has 1 joystick.

The X360 controller is excellent for driving and shooting because it has very good triggers and precise joysticks, but it’s bad for a lot of other genres because the D-Pad is garbage and the shoulder buttons are hard to reach.

The GC controller is probably my favorite of the bunch due to how comfortable it is, though I’m aware it’s not flawless (only 1 shoulder button, meh D-Pad). In any case, it’s the perfect controller for Smash Bros, and it’s a great controller overall. I also really like the DualShock controllers.

  5. Oh and I forgot about the Wii U controllers.

Personally I’m not a fan of the reverse twin sticks at all; I think the right joystick should always be below the face buttons. Also the triggers are not analog, which is a straight downgrade from the GameCube triggers. Other than that, the Pro controller is great overall, and very comfy to hold. The Gamepad can be very clunky however, and I don’t like being forced to use it to play Splatoon.

As for the Wii Remote, that’s easily my least favorite controller of all time, as it’s only good for motion controls and other non-sense. However, when paired up with the nun-chuck, it becomes perfect for Pikmin, so I guess it’s not that bad.

  6. Wii u pro controller, Game Cube controller, Gamepad in that order.

I just wish Lro controller had those triggers like Gamecube and right analog stick was located same position GC controllers located.

  7. 1. Ps4
    2. Ps2
    3. Wii U (f the haters I love the screen)
    4. GameCube
    5. 360
    6. SNES
    7. NES
    8. Wii
    9. PS3
    10. Xbox One

Those are the best using today’s standards. Now If I was to name the most influential….

    1. NES
    2. SNES
    3. 64
    4. Ps2
    5. Atari 2600
    6. GameCube
    7. Ps4
    8. Wii U
    9. 360
    10. Wii

  8. I hope the NX controller is a normal controller. Not something gimmicky like the Wii remotes and Wii U Gamepads were. Or at LEAST make the NX compatible with all current controllers if the main controller is gimmicky and weird again. So that people isn’t forced to use the gimmicky one. I wanna use my Pro Controller on the NX (and I really should buy a 2nd Pro Controller, just in case mine ever breaks. But DARN, why does controllers have to cost so much?).
