Advanced Micro Devices Inc., the company who manufactures the processors found in the PS4 and Xbox One, have seen an over 30% rise in stock at the start of trading Friday. This sharp rise has been put down to the potential $1.8 billion revenue from three processor wins for new consoles.
Although there are no confirmed details just yet, there are speculative rumours surrounding that the three console “wins” are the likes of Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft.
The International Business Times states “AMD is likely making the processing unit for the PS4K/NEO, based on leaked spec documents. The two other consoles are more speculative. Nintendo NX was rumored to be a console-handheld hybrid, so AMD could be developing two separate processors for the company. AMD could develop the processor for a new Xbox, but not for an upgraded Xbox One. Su said all three consoles will be available by 2017.”

Xbox really doesn’t even care about their exclusive software lineup anymore. Why would i buy an Xbone when all the Multiplats are on the PS4 and PC, and 3/4ths of the “exclusives” are on PC? I could buy a PC or PS4 for multiplatform games, and a Wii U for good exclusives. No need for an Xbone, unless i want a halo game with no co-op, or a forza game that’s the same as the last 5.

Games i play if i like them yes. But i don’t like the Xbone as a system, and then it doesn’t have as many good games as the competition, so it just fails.

I think my lack of a PC is fueling the want to poison myself with a free XBone. But just to be clear i rather play any other system than the Xbone, and there’s no way i would buy one unless its basically free. Its just, sometimes you gotta take what you get.

Simple, because they are the most progressive gaming company. 1) they have the biggest budget to make games. 2) with windows 10 you buy. Game once and get it on all available platforms (Xbox, HoloLens, pc, phone) 3) games developed for one planform are made universal, so its just a matter of developers to bring game to other platforms. 4) cross play between those platforms. 5) you can stream games to your windows 10 device. 6) cloud saves and other big features are updated every 3 months. Xbox one is basicly a cheap (but powerful) windows 10 pc, and can use universal windows apps. Not saying i don’t buy Nintendo. But dont nock Xbox either a real gamer is into games. I buy all systems and games. (sony is just blatant crap though)
Just because they have the most money doesn’t mean they’re good because they don’t use the money to make exclusive games, or super powerful consoles (the PS4 is more powerful.) The PS4 has more online crossplay games than the Xbone. The Wii U and PS4 have WAY more exclusives. The PlayStation has PlayStation VR coming out this year, HoloLens isn’t even out of prototype phase. Windows 10 SUCKS for gaming. Their console is less technologically advanced than the PS4. No reason for me to buy one.

Ok. I understand. Even before I got into PC gaming, I still chose the PS4. But mainly because I preferred PlayStation’s exclusives and for the JP games I knew it would get. ;)
Yea, the PS4 has way better exclusives than the Xbox, but the Wii U destroys both in the exclusives department.
It all depends on what you like. Even I will say that Wii U has great exclusives though.
The only way (in my opinion) that the XBONE is better than the PS4 is if you love racing games, because forza is better than grand turismo, the new ones suck.
1) Xbox one and PS4 have the same power graphically. this was organized so that third party developers can make a game without compromising. (“then why do most PS4 games run at 1080p?”) well they dont both systems uprez and Microsoft is just honest on packaging and sony is not.
2) exclusives come in a number of way. controllers, features, games. Xbox one focused on features. this is because they fired the old CEO and phill has had to back peddle and adjust things. the Xbox community wanted specific features over game development (rightly so) so that’s what they focused on. now they have more games in development then Nintendo and Sony combined. with some 60+ games planned for this E3.
3) HoloLense and PS VR both come out this year. also the CEO of PS already admitted Oculos is very underpowered and requires a PS eye to even work cus they could not get the gyro to work right for the cost. so really its just a head mounted display (praise the gods for a cell phone strapped to your face) mean while HoloLence is a whole windows 10 AR PC. with mind you 3 kinds of processors including a all new chip made just for “holograms”

No the PS4 is more powerful than the Xbone, thats why it gets better framerates.
That’s software not hardware that dictates framerate.
Only to as much as your hardware can run. Its mostly hardware, and then you set the software to the highest the hardware can run.

But they were made at the same time, by the same company,with the same architecture, so why doesn’t the XBone have as good framerates as the PS4? Its not a conspiracy, its hardware limitations.
That’s where Microsoft screwed up. All that money focusing on Kinect could have went into making the console hardware better. Paying an extra $100 for it over a PS4 would have made more sense then.

I’ve been thinking of getting one for Gears of War 4, Sunset Overdrive, The Master Chief Collection, Rare Replay, and Forza Horizon 2. I’m in no rush though. Too many other games to get on different systems…
Master chief collection could be fun. Perhaps rare replay as well. And FH2 would be enjoyable for a little bit, but i don’t really like racing games. Plus as you said there are too many good games coming out on other systems.
Three new consoles by 2017? I can’t believe Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are about to curtail the 8th generation that much.
Sony and Microsoft, are just doing an upgraded version of their consoles, like the New 3DS, not a whole new gen. The NX will be the only “next gen” console.

Hm… If I still had my PS4, I wouldn’t get an upgraded version. But since I don’t, (assuming this rumour is real) this PS4K/NEO thing will come around right in time when I can get a new one. I’m laughing at all the people blowing up about it though. You wouldn’t even need to get it, but people keep claiming that they have to. So they get furious at Sony and decide to switch to PC gaming. Which doesn’t make any sense at all. How can you say you’re against the idea of upgrading and then switch to another platform which can also have new hardware upgrades? WHAT?! These people do not think logically. What’s even funnier is that some of them are the very same ones that made fun of PC gaming. You know? “LOL, PC only has MMOs and RTS. NO EXCLUSIVES. BROKEN BATMAN PORT. HAHA.”
But here they come in droves jumping ship. PC is definitely my platform of choice, but it is not flawless. It does have it’s own problems. And soon, those no thinking followers will experience it all first hand. Then they’ll cry and jump ship to Nintendo. Lol.
