Here’s Pokemon Trainer Red With Pikachu ARTFX Figure

We’ve seen a number of cool Nintendo related figures recently and this Pokemon Trainer Red with Pikachu is no exception. The figure, which is produced by Kotobukiya, was showcased during the Mega Hobby Expo 2016 Spring in Japan. However, there’s still no word on when we can actually get our hands on the thing. For now you’re just going to have to make do with these lovely photos.

    1. ArtFX figures generally run somewhere between 100-200 bucks, so nothing too ridiculous…..unless it’s a Pokemon Center exclusive limited edition, where they’ll sellout in an hour and go for 700+ on Ebay….hmmm…

      1. Well, gee, I must be. I don’t even know what GSC is. I’ve only ever played Red and Y. I’m not that into Pokemon. But it’s good to see there are some passionate, know-it-all elitists out there. I’m glad that you have the internet; some people need a safe place to be jerks for no reason.

        1. GSC stands for Gold, Silver, & Crystal which are second gen Pokemon games. At the end of the games, you can climb up a mountain with powerful Pokemon & Red is the guy you find at the end of the “dungeon.” Pikachu is one of his over level 90 Pokemon. It makes sense Red would have Pikachu since Ash is modeled after the character, after all. And yeah. Rin Takahara can be a dick at many times. >.<

          1. It’s not over level 90 but it is his most leveled up Pokémon…. and we are talking about a team of no less than Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur and Snorlax…. and well, Espeon.
So it makes sense for him to be with Pikachu after all.
A lil’ bit unrelated, but I always considered Yellow to be the cannon gen1 game, because it’s not only the only game where Red can get all the 3 starters without trade, but also because thanks to that his team is built only with Pokémon that are almost unmissable in Yellow (Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Eevee and Snorlax) which I’m sure it’s what they were aiming for when they built that team. Snorlax is the only one of those Red even has to fight for…. and he literally HAS to fight him to proceed…. that makes Yellow cannon, right?

            1. Yeah. Now that I think about it, they are only over level 90 when you go to face Red a second time after beating him the first time. That or Heart Gold & Soul Silver simply lowered their levels from the original levels from the original games.

                1. Well that tells you that I haven’t played the original Gold, Silver, & Crystal in quite a while. @.@

  1. Too bad this isn’t an amiibo because that looks pretty awesome. Then again, the amiibo would just get mass produced & not look nearly as good as that figurine in the picture. :/

  2. It never made sense to me as to why no officially licensed toys of Pokemon we’re made. They could have made a killing when the show was in its prime. 151+ well constructed Pokemon toys with points of articulation? I would have bought more than a few…
