E3 2016: Here’s The Axiom Verge Game Trailer

Nintendo stayed true to its promise and Damon Baker showcased a number of indie titles for both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U on the E3 YouTube channel. One of the games showcased was the long-awaited Axiom Verge. The game is described by Nintendo as a retro-style action-platform-exploration game done in a 16-bit style and was heavily influenced by games like Metroid, Contra, Blaster Master, and other classics, but with very modern design sensibilities. It also gives you power over glitches like those found in classic games, allowing you to scramble enemies, corrupt environments, and enter hidden areas as you explore this hostile alien world and uncover your role within it. Check out the video for the game, below.

  1. another fantastic looking indie title that many people probably wont play because it doesnt have a nintendo label on it even though its pretty much the closest thing to a 2d metroid well ever get

  2. Meh. Took too long to release this on Wii U as I’ll be getting it for PS4 instead. If I even bother getting it on PS4, to be honest. I’d like to, though, but I got enough games to deal with right now. Hopefully my interest for it doesn’t get lost under my backlog & the other games coming out soon that I want to play on PS4 that I forget to get this game. I guess I could just buy it now on the PS Store on my PS4 so I have no excuse TO forget about it.

    1. Yep. Nintendo is obsolete. I honestly hope sick can continue making enough money on this site, but his skills in blogging are wasted on Nintendo… He will get a surge with the NX… But I would love to have a Sickr blog for Xbox….

      1. I want a sickr run blog for PlayStation. I honestly don’t want to have to hunt through IGN for stuff I want to know concerning Sony’s video game entertainment division.
