US: Pokemon GO Field Test Comes To An End

A number of you have been in contact to say that you have been notified that the Pokemon GO field test is coming to an end on June 30th in the United States. Emails have been sent out to those who participated in the test which you can read below. Pokemon GO is expected to fully launch sometime in July which isn’t too far away now.

“Trainers,

We’ve had an incredible time field testing Pokémon GO with all of you. Your battles were epic, your wild Pokémon encounters were fun, and your feedback helped lay the groundwork for a very unique game.

On June 30th, we’ll shut down the Pokémon GO field test. Your app will not be playable any more and we’ll delete all gameplay data to prepare for the official launch. Stay tuned to our social channels for more information.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, experiences, feature requests and many valuable insights. We have learned a lot from you and couldn’t have done this without you.

With Gratitude,

The Pokémon GO Development Team

Thanks to those who sent this in.

  1. I’ve had a lot of fun with this game; can’t wait for it to come out with the Bluetooth device. I like how it encourages you to go out and exercise and explore areas around you. Thanks to it, I discovered some interesting parks and monuments that I had no idea that were around me.

By the way, you left out part of the quote at the end, but maybe that was intentional.

  2. Glad to hear that they ended because that means they’re THAT much closer to releasing the official one. I’m glad they wiped all data so everyone starts fresh and no one has a head start. I do hope that those that did the beta get SOME sort of reward for helping out. Like something for in the game.
