New Cruis’n Arcade Machines Licensed By Nintendo Appear

Back in May, a new Cruis’n game appeared in a Chicago movie theatre. Developed by Raw Thrills, the machine is covered in “Licensed by Nintendo” logos. However, the machine has gone through more development in the past few months and now sports a new title. Now titled Cruis’n Red Line, the game now features five courses: Mojave, Madagascar, London, Rio de Janeiro and Singapore. Another interesting addition is a trading card feature. Each machine can dispense random cards featuring various cards or upgrades. While previous versions of the game allowed the cards to be scanned for bonuses, strangely the newest update removed this feature.

  1. Interesting. Cruis ‘N USA was probably my favorite racing game that didn’t feature Mario (or any other known characters or drivers). I still remember playing it at the arcades. Then playing Cruis ‘N World, later down the road. I never saw Cruis ‘N Exotica in the arcades. But I have all three on the N64.

  2. Oh!! I remember these games. I loved being at the arcades playing these games all the time. I had them on the N64 as well, but i liked to feel like i was driving in the arcade one even more than just sitting playing it at home.

  4. Whoa! That’s really cool! Cruis’n USA and Cruis’n World were some of my favorite racing games!

I had no idea that they would still make a new one with Midway being dead. I really hope this one gets a console port at some point.
