Shantae And The Pirate’s Curse Hits Retail On October 18 For Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo 3DS owners will soon be able to get their hands on the physical version of Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse. WayForward has confirmed that its side-scrolling platformer will be available at retail on October 18. The developer is also releasing a new 3DS theme, called Shantae Beach, which is set to arrive later this week. Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse originally launched in 2014 as a downloadable title via the Nintendo eShop.

  1. Now I can finally give this game a try. I don’t like to buy games in a franchise I’ve never played before digitally in case it’s a game I either can’t get into (which is sadly the case with Earthbound as I bought the VC game but I just couldn’t get into it and haven’t played it since I downloaded it back around when it first hit Wii U VC) or if it’s a game that I never want to play again after beating it once (Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks for my DS as they are the worst controlled Zelda games that I have EVER played. I’d rather play Star Fox Zero once with the gimmicky use of the Gamepad then play those games again!)
