Nintendo Says They’re “Happy Additional Third-Party Publishers Showed Interest In Switch After Our Introduction Video”

The Wall Street Journal has been a major player in getting remarks from Nintendo on the Switch, even when the company would rather stay silent. This is no exception, as a reporter for the Wall Street Journal said on Twitter that Nintendo is happy that “additional third-party published showed interest in Switch after our introduction video”. It seems the video has been really making the rounds, and third-party developers, in particular, are curious on the console. We’ll let you know of any further developments, but if we do hear anything else, it’ll likely take place in January when the Switch presentation is scheduled to occur.

    1. I’ll will be right again with 3rd party support…

A universe where third-party and Nintendo games combine as one is a universe I will gladly live in.

(I’d also be without a job if the nd fails and Nintendo drops out so I hope for the sake me and the other creatures of Nintendo that they pull through)

  1. we all know there butthurt really and will SWITCHwhen the gangbanger sales start nd blame nintendo for there own demise and losses

just like wii and ds the industry cannot take another disruption the last one destroyed 80% of of it as iwata predicted it will

cannot wait for this shit storm its comming and it will not be stoppped ps4 32x and xbone 32x will fail as will flop vr

switch will go to the moon and all hell will break out and pachter will again start talking anti nintendo nonsense

      1. Oh he must not have herd…we won’t be seeing pachter for a long time of all nintendo news sites stopped supporting his ass after that hateful remark of iwata;s passing.

I think he got fired in other words but that’s my guess and we haven’t seen him in a good while because of it.

      1. Don’t bother responding to people who can’t tell the difference between “there” and “their.” It’s probable that they can’t tell the difference between a good product and a bad one.

          1. Nah that was a different comment. The one I was talking about looks like it was removed because the writer was banned. I think that comment was written after I wrote mine.

  2. I want ALL third party companies to be on board with the Switch. I want to see Nintendo on top once again. I don’t want any companies to use stupid excuses to avoid making Switch games. I’m hoping that even Rockstar games is on board. I’d love to see Red Dead Redemption 2 on Switch.

    1. Take Two Interactive was on the 3rd party publishers who have confirmed support for the Switch list. They are the publisher of the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption franchises while Rockstar are the developers. We do have hope and it could definitely happen but I’m keeping my expectations in check before I end up getting myself upset

      1. It’s most likely because of the NBA 2K footage shown. They were also supporters of the Wii U because of the same franchise but not Rockstar games showed up. I wouldn’t hold my breath but it would be a nice surprise.

      2. Same here, specially after Nintendo took the shine away from that RD2 announcement. Still, T2 pulls the strings, so if they say they want a switch port, then theyll get a switch port.

  3. Great news. The more the merrier. 23 million views for the reveal trailer and 95% of the reactions were positive is just insane. The Switch has a lot of potential to be something very special so long as Nintendo takes advantage of this newfound momentum they have. So far I’m loving what I’m seeing

    1. Thank-you for sharing this report, Paid. The more we see third-party and middleware supports for the Switch, the better.

                1. Nintendo First Order Commander Quadraxis

                  ||Excellent, you destroyed that garbage more than the Sonyans ever did by creating it…||

      1. That Xbox machine is no more Commander. I’ve given to the Xbots in exchange for my freedom. Only PC and Nintendo from hear on out. I will gladly join The First Order and help battle the Sonyans and Xbots

  4. As long as Nintendo have truly learned their lesson from the Wii & Wii U. You want to nab the “casual gamer?” Then keep doing what you’ve been doing with those cell phone games (Pokemon Go & the upcoming Super Mario Run).

Please leave the SWITCH to us hardcore gamers. With kick ass online via headsets. Because the Wii U Splatoon (no headsets with minimal options) approach ain’t gonna get it this time!

  5. Not trying to sound racist, but i think it’s cause the dude is Japanese himself.
Ofcourse it’s going to be easier for 2 folks who are both Japanese to communicate with each other, and get more to talk about from the discussion.
If i was Japanese, and i ran a company in japan.. i would be more willing to open up to someone Japanese more so than a random white dude.

  6. I agree. As much as people want to believe the switch will get third party so they can still be hyped, logically, nintendo said the same shit will the wii u. I have no idea why people aren’t keeping their expectations realistic…do people honestly think, out of all their consoles, THIS is the one to get third party?

      1. receives the reply (O_O)b
like how apple manages to suck out the money of their consumers, people still think nintendo can pull it off (not that I don’t like nintendo but they should learn from their past mistakes)
