North America: Donkey Kong Jungle Beat Is Coming To The Wii U eShop This Week

The Wii New Play Control version of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat will be arriving in the North American Wii U eShop. In fact, the release date is on November 3rd. You can buy the game for $19.99. The game has yet to arrive in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, but it’s not out of the question that the game will be released there. However, you don’t have to worry about purchasing a set of bongos for the game. They were used in the Gamecube version, not on Wii.

  1. It’s really nice that this is coming out finally. This is a very fun and interesting game (but quite different from the DKC games), even though it has a lot of flaws.

I would say $20 is just a tad bit steep for this game though, as there are only 32 non-boss levels, and not all of those levels are great.

      1. It was both published and developed by Nintendo.

On a side note, I still have my Gamecube copy stored on my closet shelf inside the bundle box along with a second Bongo accessory (Which I never even opened since the game is Single-Player, lol).

      2. One of the most charming and surprising games of the gamecube era. Back then I was pretty impressed about the animations and how snappy and physical everything felt and of course how creative they made use of the controls.

The team behind this is the real deal, Nintendo EAD Tokyo, which is pretty much like Nintendo’s elitetroup who’s also doing the main Mario and Zelda games (they did Mario Galaxy just after Jungle Beat)
