While the story of Fire Emblem Fates has yet to receive a manga adaptation, the next manga based on the series will not be following the story of the recent game. Instead it will be following the separate story of a side character from Fates. The writers have chosen to focus on Leo, one of the brothers from the Nohrian Royal Family. Interestingly, the story will take place during the events of the game, but those who have played Fates will know there are three separate timelines they could choose to use. This news comes directly from Yugyoji Tama, an artist working on the new series. While the manga is set to be released in Japan on January 28th, it is possible that it will never make it to the west. Here’s a piece of artwork Tama posted to their blog.

Cool! Now now, when will Laura Dale reveal Fire Emblem Fates HD for the Switch?
Makes sense- Leo is the most popular male unit in Fates according to a Japanese poll. Wonder if this means they’ll do one for his Hoshidan counterpart, Takumi, at some point.
If only they make a anime series version of it that would be cool.
I had no idea a Manga was even in the works
I’d totally follow a manga/anime that focuses on Lyndis from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword, known simply as Fire Emblem in the US. When they re-released it as VC, they really should have used it’s full name. *shrug*
