It seems like forever ago that Rime was announced exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and the game has certainly been through some rough times. However, it is now coming out this May on the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One.
Tequila Works describes Rime as “a single-player puzzle adventure about discovery, experienced through the eyes of a young boy who awakens on a mysterious island after shipwrecking off its coast. Players must navigate the island’s secrets by making use of light, sound, perspective and even time. I actually enjoy being in my volcano. I’ve gotten more out of my PS4 in 1 year than I did 2 years with my Wii U. Shame, really. I had such high hopes for Wii U, too. But it let me down when I realized how behind the rest of the video game world it was. No cross play, no cross buy, no cross save, no cloud storage, and save data & digital purchases are locked to the console & can only be moved by way of a very shitty system transfer. I’d highly recommend a PS4 but if the only games you ever really enjoy is Nintendo games, yeah. Better just stick with Wii U, 3DS, & Switch because anything else would be a waste of money for ya. Hopefully Switch fixes the many things that made the Wii U such a worthless console for me.
I don’t personally own one but my younger sibling does. At the moment my Wii U is gathering dust because i finished all the games on it. My 3ds is where i spend more time. I play some multi plat on my PC tho.

The Switch might be the best platform for this title as for many it might look like a good fit next to Breath of the Wild. Looks seriously beautiful in its own way. If the reviews agree, I might pick that one up day 1.
