The Nintendo Switch public event has taken place in Japan today so naturally hordes of people have descended upon the venue to check out Nintendo’s latest hardware. The problem is so many people wanted to play games such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Splatoon 2 that they have sadly had to close the queue to play the games.
Nintendo has already had to close off new entries to try out Zelda and Splatoon.

Wow. I’m not surprised by Zelda (it’s Breath of the Freaking Wild!!), but Splatoon 2 as well? Must be pretty dang popular.

Well yeah, the original game on Wii U only set the world on fire- I think it breached one million copies in under a month, which is amazing for a new IP.

Well, Zelda’s not as popular in Japan as it is in the west. And Splatoon is more popular in Japan.
Splatoon will win Japan for Nintendo early.
Japanese devs will be all on board and can expect many jrpgs.
Now they just need to start gearing towards e3 to make the rest of the world convinced.
And it is not enough if they only showcase games we know are coming.
