A while back we reported that Nintendo were not on the show floor plans for the Game Developers Conference this year. My Nintendo News reader, Tommy G, came across the updated listings on the GDC Exhibitors portion of the site and it now shows Nintendo will be in attendance for 2017. Nintendo will be at spaces BMR5226, BMR5230 and BMR5225 which are situated in the North Hall of the complex; they’ll be side by side with Mozilla and Warner Bros.
It’s no surprise they’re making an appearance at such a prolific event such as GDC but it’s good to see the Big N getting back onto show floors after, what seemed to be, a pretty dry 2016.
Thanks Tommy G for the tip!

This is actually a good thing to see. They weren’t there last time but, now they are for this year. It can show more of the Switch and hopefully more games from their Third Party support

They’ll probably have Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, and Arms on the floor, all of which I have interest in. Wish I was going.

I’m glad they are. We need to build up energy in the community for the Switch.

They’re pulling out all the stops with presenting this thing.

It is actually a bit of a surprise considering Nintendo’s lack of motivation in going to trade shows, especially in more recent years.

Really hope they have a Presser this E3.

This is a good sign. Nintendo needs to make as big of a presence as possible right now and announce launch window games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4KUHJnR9pI

It’s just about 600m², Microsoft is going to have twice the size, and let remember, this is an event just for developers, so, there’s no reason to expect games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2, they are for sure, going to show how indie developers can bring their games to Switch.

Worth noting also: the last day of GDC this year is, in fact, the switch launch date.

2/27-3/3. That’s plenty of time to reveal more shit right before release day of the Switch. If they have plenty of stock ready by March 3rd & depending on what they show at this event, they could easily sell another 2m consoles that aren’t part of the initial 2m. But this is Nintendo so I’m not gonna hold my breath of the wild. Get it? Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Switch? ….. Yeah. Terrible job at trying to make a pun…
