Splatoon 2 was announced with a summer release back in January, but we now have a concrete release date for the sequel. Announced at the Nintendo Direct, Splatoon 2 will be launching on July 21st. This is certainly earlier than some predicted, both Squids and Kids excited for the upcoming game.

Extremely exciting about this release date. Much sooner than expected.
Smack dab in the middle of summer. Awesome.
Meh… I wasn’t overly impressed by the game when I played the global testfire on my Switch. I’ll wait for the next one close to release to see if it’s an improvement.
Have you SEEN the Nintendo Direct, your Majesty? They revealed a whole new gameplay mode!
I’d prefer a hands on approach with the demo. I’ll get a better sense of it that way. Being as it’s a new IP, I need to actually play a demo of said game to know if it’s really worth my time. The previous demo wasn’t very good & did lag a number of times. (Stupid peer by peer online! Why anyone would use that in this day & age is baffling. ESPECIALLY one such as Nintendo who can definitely afford to pay for servers.)
