There’s plenty of interesting and intriguing indie titles coming to the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Golf Story is one of them. The sprite based game is developed by Sidebar Games and visually reminds me of Stardew Valley with plenty of curious NPC’s. Here’s a few details about the game coming this summer to Nintendo Switch provided by the game’s developers, Sidebar Games:
- Tee up anywhere! You’ll be surprised by how many problems can be solved by hitting a golf ball at them.
- Explore 8 unique environments, each with their own courses, towns, people and secrets.
- Play through a dramatic story with a diverse cast of characters.
- Upgrade your golfer by completing challenges, solving puzzles and buying new equipment.
- Round out your skill set with long driver tournaments, disc golf, mini golf and wee links.
- Then go beyond golf with extra challenges like races, mowing, drone flights and geocaching.

P1. Looks and sounds interesting. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more info.
Anyone else thinking Steven Universe here?
Honestly your not lieing it’s kinda like they predicted it
I don’t like golf really, but this looks good. So we’ll wait and see I guess.
Every time I hear about a new golf game, I start dwelling in the fact of how badly I want a new Mario Golf. I can’t believe that Toadstool Tour on Gamecube was the last one (3DS version doesn’t count). It’s been FAR too long.
How does World Tour not count?
I’m not a big fan of golf, but it looks fun.It kinda reminds me of Mario Tennis Power Tour,a sports game with RPG elements,I might get it
This is… unusual… I think I would need more practice with this weapon.
This weapon is… unusual… I think I would need more fire training…

I don’t think it’s for me, though it looks good and solid.
