Team Flight Wins The Splatoon 2 Splatfest In Europe And U.S

Pearl and Marina have revealed which team won the latest Splatoon 2 Splatfest and it is Team Flight who takes the crown. It was a little different this time as the result was calculated by combining both the European and U.S play statistics.

Check out the tally below and you can see just how close it was between Team Flight and Team Invisibility.

      1. We (team flight) once had a match where we were three vs one. Generally speaking, the connection problems during this splatfest were ridiculous. I have been playing Splatoon 2 for quite a while now, and while there is the occasional connection error, usually, the connections are stable 95% of the time for me (playing via LAN). During the splatfest, however, it felt like there were some kinds of errors in 1 out of 4 or 5 matches. There were matches where I literally saw team mates disappear in a puff of smoke just after they had begun.

That being said, in all of my matches as team flight, I actually lost the majority of them, I’d say. I was very unlucky and had huge loss streaks of like six or seven consecutive matches at times. Didn’t do nearly as bad during the first Splatfest. Because of this, I was of course very uncertain whether we could win. Only towards the end of the Splatfest, I got some kind of winning streak again. Kinda surprised that the difference in the end is actually this big. I thought that if we would win, the difference would actually be quite small.

    1. Agreed! It seemed like my Invisibility squads could never catch a break. I’m surprised the margin wasn’t larger than Splatoon 2’s reporting it to be. It was fun, nonetheless!

    2. Wow, mine were bad too. It’s so annoying when they walk around aimlessly looking like a bunch of jackasses or trying to push into enemy base way too early. Ugh…. At least matchmaking-Wait-Time wasnt as bad as the other splatfests.

  1. YES!!! I’m really happy about this one! I was on Team Flight and won every single match I played! It’s my first time having a 100% win rate in a Splatfest, so I’m glad my team as a whole gave it their all as well :D

    1. That sounds nice and way more lucky than I was with team flight. :D
Wonder what your flight power was at the end? I had so many loss streaks that I ended up somewhere between 1500 and 1600, way worse than during my first Splatfest.

      1. lol, thx! Truth be told I was actually afraid that I wasn’t going to get to participate at all. I had to take my sister to college, and the hotel I stayed at had awful wi-fi that my Switch wouldn’t connect to. Luckily, the day of the Splatfest was when I got back home. I quickly picked my team and played as many matches as I could before I went to bed (I got back pretty late, lol) This is definitely going down as one of my favorite Splatfests next to the Cats v Dogs one from Splatoon 1 XD

  2. There’s a reason why Superman can fly.

There’s a reason why there are a couple of songs in Space Jam that speak of flight or flying.

  3. As a team flight and being like 1900 power or whatever it is basically everyone one on my team or the other team was extremely good or decent. I did have the occasional people who thought it better to stay and ink dots of enemy ink rather than go in the middle and help ink the bigger turf. It was a pretty fun splatfest overall though
