Cave Story+ Now Available For A Reduced Price On Nintendo Switch

Now might be a good time to purchase Cave Story+ if you haven’t done so already. Originally priced at $29.99, the digital version of the retro-inspired platformer is currently listed for $26.99 in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch. There’s no telling how long this deal will last, so you may want to take advantage of it before it’s too late. Cave Story+ revolves around an amnesiac boy on a journey to learn the origins of a rare world’s power, stop a delusional villain and save innocent rabbit-like creatures called Mimiga.

  1. The game’s really great, but $30 is way too much. Also, $27 is a laughable discount to be honest. I’ll only consider buying it if it’s discounted to, at the most, $20.

  2. I mean it is a great game, but I played it when it was free for anyone who wanted to download it. Then I bought it for $10 on the dsi and enjoyed it that way. You just have to decide if all the extra features for the game make it worth the value. You’ve got couch co-op, curly story, and good/bad endings

  3. Cave Story is a great game, but, after this many re-releases after like 15 years, I’m not so sure it’s worth $30. $10, absolutely, $20, still a good deal, $30, I think is pushing a little bit.

  4. I am very much interested in Cave story but that price is a stretch, and the discount is a joke this is surely a strategy to get noticed by putting it on sale so it gets to the current offer tab with more visibility. I would buy it in a heartbeat at £12 still would consider it at £15 but after that there are much better games i would consider. £29 price was when i dropped three interest.

  5. Everyone here are talking about the biggest issue with the Switch. People overcharging for their games. I’m seeing it time and again and again. I still think STreet Fighter is the most egregious. Everytime I see a game come out that isnt completely over priced, like Golf STory, or Stardew Valley I pick it up right away. trying to send the message to developers that we want games cheaper. I also grabbed the tetris game cause it was the first game to really go on sale.
