UK: Nintendo Is The Third Biggest Publisher With 11.3% Market Share

Games Industry has just published a report looking at the state of the UK video game industry. There’s plenty of information to be discovered and you can read their findings, here. Nintendo is the third biggest publisher in the United Kingdom with a 11.3% marketshare. They are just behind EA and Activision Blizzard. The site has also revealed the top 10 boxed games of 2017, which you can view below.

Rank Title Publisher/Developer
1 FIFA 18 EA/EA Canada
2 Call of Duty: WWII Activision/Sledgehammer Games
3 Grand Theft Auto V Rockstar/Rockstar North
4 Assassin’s Creed Origins Ubisoft/Ubisoft Montreal
5 Star Wars Battlefront II EA/EA DICE
6 Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy Activision/Vicarious Visions
7 Destiny 2 Activision/Bungie
8 Gran Turismo Sport Sony/Polyphony
9 Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands Ubisoft/Ubisoft France
10 Horizon Zero Dawn Sony/Guerrilla Games

  1. How the f*** EA is at 1st place? The UK likes to troll EA that makes them at first place? Good to know that Nintendo was at third place behind Activision/Blizzard so Dottor Kaplan will bring Overwatch on the Switch

  2. These numbers are irrelevant. Tell me about Europe as a whole (which includes the UK). Not just a single country which also happens to be behind from the rest of Europe in terms of sutomers of Nintendo platforms.

  3. Crash Bandicoot = lol, simply. Where are Zelda and Mario?
Post EU charts, for the better. ‘Luxembourg alone doesn’t count’.

  4. I could apologise for my fellow Britons, but you know, whatever. They have their garbage taste and I just ignore them in terms of gaming. Pretty sure Nintendo will have been the biggest publisher in the majority of other Western nations.
