You may be wondering which games were the best-sellers last year in Japan. Well, today we have the answer. It was Pokemon Ultra Sun & Pokemon Ultra Moon for the Nintendo 3DS which took the top spot, according to data compiled by Famitsu. Here’s the rest of the best-sellers for 2017 in Japan:

- Splatoon 2 (Switch) – 1,752,096
- Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete (3DS) – 1,744,603
- Monster Hunter XX (3DS) – 1,684,991
- Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete (PS4) – 1,336,180
- Super Mario Odyssey (Switch) – 1,324,280
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch) – 1,103,744
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch) – 688,044
- Pokémon Sun Moon (3DS) 576,506
- Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS (3DS) – 423,073

The fact that XX outsold World in Japan and everywhere else while dumbass Capcom kept the localized version from release and still do is just staggering.
Um… MHW isn’t out yet.
I agree that XX should have been localized, though. The ship has sailed on that one, I think.
Now I get why they want to continue the 3DS
