Japan: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 On Switch Has Now Outsold The PS4 Version

The PlayStation 4 version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 had a one year head start on the platform but that hasn’t stopped the Nintendo Switch version from outselling it. The Nintendo Switch version has sold 110,217 copies and the PlayStation 4 version has sold 108,227 copies as of last week in Japan. Interestingly, it would appear as though Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on Nintendo Switch may soon beat the original Dragon Ball Xenoverse on the PlayStation 3. This would make it the highest selling Dragon Ball home console game of all-time in Japan.

    1. I remember not long before Xenoverse 2 Switch released people asked about that and they responded to the effect of “Let’s focus on Xenoverse first”.
Xenoverse sold really well, so maybe there’s hope.

  1. Impressive sales. Surpassing PS4 sales by launching much after and with a far lower userbase it’s a pretty impressive achievement.

  2. Pokken Tournament, Mario Kart VR, Smash WiiU, now Metroid Prime… With the added success of DBXV2, Bandai Namco would be pretty happy with Nintendo.
