ArcSystemWorks, the team behind BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, have announced on Twitter that if you purchase the 2D fighting game early then you are entitled to the Cross Tag Character Pack 1. The pack is normally charged for downloadable content, so if you’ve got your eye on the game then make sure you get it within the first two weeks.
On top of #RWBY's Blake and Yang being free for all indefinitely, players that get #BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle in the first two weeks will get Cross Tag Character Pack 1 for free as well. #BBTAG pic.twitter.com/3ooce3nJBL

I-it’s not a beat-em-up…
Yes it is. Originally Beat-em-up was a generic term used for all games which involved hand to hand combat. Not just scrolling fighters.
A system like that is very flawed, that’s why we created a load of sub-genres to better identify game types. By today’s standards, BlazBlue Cross-Tag Battle is not a beat-em-up, it’s a 2D Fighting Game.
