A free update is due to arrive to Super Mario Odyssey on Thursday, 22nd February.
The update will bring a new mini game called Balloon World, which will be available once the main story is completed. Here’s the explanation of the new mode from Nintendo’s website:
“Once players download the free update and complete the main story, Balloon World will become available, and players just have to find Luigi in each Kingdom and speak with him to get started. In “Hide It” mode, players have a limited amount of time to hide a balloon, while in “Find It” mode, players have the same period of time to locate balloons hidden by other players from around the world. Creative use of captures is key to success! Whether players are hiding balloons or finding them, their Rank will go up based on their high score. While playing Balloon World, the atmosphere will change for each kingdom: for example, it might be raining in New Donk City, or the sun might be setting in Tostarena.”
Along with this, a range of new outfits will also become available. This will include The Sunshine, Musician and Knight Armor. You can take a look at them below:

I didn’t even realize that Luigi wasn’t in this game (AGAIN) until reading this post. The game should have been made to where you can play as Mario OR Luigi. But please Nintendo, NO SUPER LUIGI ODYSSEY!
We need Luigi’s Mansion 3 to have him as a protagonist. Luigi has the potential to have more games that involves him.
How about Daisy as a co-tagonist as well. Give her some involvement outside of party/sports games, and justification for being associated with Luigi.
Something tells me that has potential to take advantage of the Joy-Con functionality.
Who else thinks motion aiming and IR scanning would fit well for the series?

Nintendo makes games for all ages. That this one aspect is for kids is why (s)he’s writing it off.
They could have also put new kingdoms like a lot of people, including kids want.

The only real content are the three new costumes.

The only question is what time tomorrow? Midnight each time zone, or will it release in America at midnight PT? Or some other time tomorrow?
We need a game that builds on Luigi’s and Daisy’s relationship. Cus as of now, its really only been implied.
They did Mario/Peach, let’s have a Luigi adventure with saving Daisy from another villain that’s not Bowser. Maybe bring back Wart. X3

If he could get his own New Luigi Bros. game, he can get his own 3D platforming adventure with Daisy filling Peach’s role and Wart as the villain. ;P

I’ve been wanting Wart to return ever since Super Mario Bros. 2. I even used to write letters to Nintendo suggesting that. Let me tell all of you, writing letters (or emails) to Nintendo doesn’t help ANYTHING. Nintendo used to tell me that they sent my ideas/letters to the appropriate department for further review. Though I used to get excited, thinking that they might like my ideas/suggestions, I knew they really just crumbled my papers and threw them away. I can’t even count how many times I wrote letters to Nintendo back in the day. I still have a whole stack of replies from Nintendo that I saved.
I wish that Daisy appears in Luigi’s Mansion 3.
