We discovered a few days ago that Nintendo Switch launch titles had had their play time reset on users systems. Many people were frustrated by the issue after putting in numerous hours into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo of America has undoubtedly been informed by users on Twitter that it’s still an issue and they have issued a response today on the social network. The company has reiterated that a future update coming will ensure that play time data is correctly displayed on the Switch,
Some Nintendo Switch owners’ play activity info is displaying incorrectly, but play activity is still being recorded accurately in the background. A future system update will resolve this issue & ensure play time data is correctly displayed. We apologize for the inconvenience.

That update would be perfect to do a overhaul of the playtime system and make it like the 3DS one
I like the 5 hours or more system that the Nintendo Switch has now. Nintendo, don’t change it.
Do it Nintendo. I want it back.
The date first played and playtime data are separate entries, was never any cause for concern.
