Australian eShop Reveals Shantae And The Pirate’s Curse Coming To Nintendo Switch

The Australian Nintendo Switch eShop has revealed that Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is coming to the Nintendo Switch. The game is set to be released on March 20th and its download size is 478MB. Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is also compatible with the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

“Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is the third game in the series. After losing her genie abilities in Shantae: Risky’s Revenge, Shantae is an ordinary human. After finding out the mayor sold Scuttle Town to the Ammo Baron and Risky Boot’s Tinkerbats have been turned into Cacklebats by Dark Magic, Shantae joins forces with Risky to fight the Pirate Master. This means Shantae ends up gaining various pirate abilities.”

    1. I love the Metroidvania design with the mapping and upgrades that very distinctive but also different from the usual transformation gimmick that actually kills the pace of the game. It sucks that this may not come back as a standard which explains why Shantae 4 had that Risky DLC.

  1. Nintendo wasn’t kidding when they said the Switch would have more games than Wii U. We get multiple announcements every day it seems.
