Nintendo Labo recently shot to number one in Japan upon launch and the Variety Kit even beat the long-awaited God of War for the PlayStation 4. What’s interesting though is that Media Create data has shown that Nintendo’s innovative new concept only sold through 30 percent of the initial shipment. This means that either it failed to take off in the way that Nintendo had envisioned it, or alternatively they are trying to have enough units to cover the next few weeks. It will certainly be interesting to see how Labo does in Europe and North America.

Its too bad if its considered to be flopping. Unlike amiibo, labo looks like a very creative toy.
Bit early to say it hasn’t taken off after one week where it topped the charts
I had a feeling it wasn’t going to be that big of a success anyways.
It’s mainly aimed at kids and unless you like building stuff then I honestly don’t see a reason to pick it up.
It’s a physical only game, so they would ensure it would never be out of stock. How can anyone believe that nearly tripling God of War’s sales would make it a flop.
Keep in mind that was in Japan only. Where GoW isn’t as popular
I’m guessing Nintendo just made extra so they wouldn’t ever have to worry about it selling out, which is good. The important thing is that they were able to beat Sony’s Triple-A God of War game with LABO. That’s crazy. Wonder what will happen when they drop the Pokemon nuke.
Perhaps it will do better in the next weeks.
I’m actually surprised that anyone is buying Nintendo LABO. Ever since I first heard about it, I thought it was the dumbest thing ever. Then again, I’m not a kid.
Well admittedly, I don’t imagine this would have a massive audience. This whole concept, while very interesting, seems very niche.
