Coding App SmileBASIC Is Coming To Nintendo Switch

The latest edition of Weekly Famitsu has revealed that popular coding application Puchikon SmileBASIC is coming to the Nintendo Switch console. The app is known as Petit Computer here in the west and was available on both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. The application allows programmers to create games using coding in the BASIC programming language. More details have yet to be announced.

    I’ve put over 100 hours into this on DSi and over 300 hours into this on 3DS and I have the HAL Labratory Pasocom Mini computer that runs SmileBASIC. Glad to see it’s coming to Switch!! I was quite annoyed by the lack of a western release for the Wii U version but luckily there’s no region lock on 3DS so that shouldn’t bean issue this time around!

    1. SmileBASIC did indeed come to 3DS in the west, so no worries about region.
      Bet you meant the Switch though, and yeah there’s nothing stopping us from getting at PetiCom this time around it’s great~
