EA has agreed that cross-platform play would be good for FIFA but it won’t feature in the upcoming FIFA 19. Presumably one of the reasons it isn’t being implemented on the upcoming FIFA 19 is Sony’s reluctance to embrace cross-platform play. With the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 being the leading platforms for the game and Sony’s lack of support on the issue it doesn’t make sense to implement it yet. That’s not the official stance from EA though. Here’s what they say:
“It’s something we’ve looked at, and it’s something we often talk about,” creative director Matt Prior told Eurogamer at E3.
“There are a lot of issues to work through. I’m trying to be diplomatic here! There are a lot of issues to work through with various first parties. But Fortnite does that now with PC to consoles.
“From a consumer standpoint, it makes the community that much broader, which makes it that much more compelling.”
There is only one reaction good for this stupidity from EA.
Problem here is, that the Switch version runs on a different engine and I doubt it will play completely the same as the other versions. Anyone got experience on this?
More like Sony is the problem.
Yes, they are retards, I agree.
But there is still Xbox and PC, so I think my point is still valid.
