We have some sad news to report to you. It was announced that Ishizuka Unshou, the Japanese voice of Professor Oak in the Pokemon anime, passed away a few days ago because of esophagus cancer. According to a tweet that relayed the news, “he had been under medical care, but no treatment had proved effective”. The tweet can be seen down below. Rest in peace, Ishizuka Unshou.

I remember when I first started watching anime in Japanese. The first series I picked up was Naruto and Ishizuka was the voice of Zabuza. He really sounded intimidating. He will be missed.
I wonder if TFS will do a Mr. Satan thing?
