The colourful strategic title Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle was a big success for both Ubisoft and Nintendo. While the initial collaboration and concept seemed utterly bizarre before the game was shown off to the the public at E3, it actually delivered. Many are now wondering when we can expect to see a sequel to the game. Here’s what Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told GameSpot:

[Laughs] I can’t give you an answer yet.

  1. Why would anyone want another Mario + Rabbids game anyway? Isn’t it bad enough that we had lots of Mario & Sonic crossovers?

    1. It’s perfectly fine that you don’t like it but stop bitch-acting like that would be the normal thing. That game sold 2 Mio copies and is really good as long as you’re somehow into that type of game. If not, then wow, you probably are also bitching about every possible sports game if you’re not into sports games.

  2. Hm I wonder what other mario characters they would add? Rosalina, Daisy and Birdo? Then maybe Waluigi, Wario, and DK or was he apart of the update/dlc? I’m not sure if another nintendo franchise would work as well as the Mario one.

  3. Ubisoft is a company that has to sequel the shit out of everything that turns somehow profit and a third party game selling over 2 Mio copies on a newly launched Nintendo (!) system is just absolutely unique so it’s a no brainer that they’re working on it and I guess it won’t evenbe that long until it gets announced as it has been 1 year since the first one and I guess they might have just started working on it after finishing the first one and seeing the reception and now that the Switch’s userbase as doubled since the first one, it almost feels like easy money. Plus there’s a lot to improve on the formula like the game being amazingly tedious when you have to run again through the maps to hunt down single challenges so they will probably fix this in the next game.
