Reggie: Pokemon Let’s Go And Smash Ultimate Pre-Sale Trends Are The Best Ever Seen On Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has two heavy hitters due out in the coming weeks and those are the latest Pokemon game Pokemon, Let’s Go! Pikachu and Eevee and of course, Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has told The Verge that pre-sale trends for both games are the best the company has ever seen on the Nintendo Switch which bodes well for their success.

According to Fils-Aimé, “the pre-sale trends for both of these titles are tracking to the best we’ve ever seen on Nintendo Switch. The consumer engagement through all of our digital activity has been exceptionally strong.” Early reviews of Pokemon: Let’s Go ahead of release are positive, too, which bodes well for Nintendo, especially given that the Pokémon title was likely the riskier sell to fans. It’s both the first real console Pokémon game and one that is radically different from more traditional games in the series.

      1. Reminder that game reviewers are constantly ridiculed for being bad at video games. They compared Crash Bandicoot to Dark Souls and reviewers have done the same thing recently comparing Spyro to Dark Souls. So of course an extremely easy and practically impossible to lose game like LGEP is going to get more positive reception from people that are incompetent at video games.

    1. Lol, but your gonna get Smash though right ? At least?😋. I want Pokémon cuz my kids are around 9 and 7. This will be there first “sorta real” Pokémon adventure so I was thinking it’s a good place for them to start.

      1. Yeah, pre-ordered Smash. No choice but obey Sakurai.
Yeah, plenty with friends here are going to use Let’s Go to introduce Pokémon to people. Probably a great place to start
