Japan: Dragon Quest XI S Coming 2019 And Teaser Released

One title which seems to be taking its time is Dragon Quest XI S for the Nintendo Switch. The PlayStation 4 version was released earlier this year but Square Enix have remained quiet about the Nintendo Switch version, until today that is. Dragon Quest XI S will be released in Japan in 2019 and includes optional Japanese voice-overs. There will also be some sort of surprise for the Nintendo fans. Here is the voice cast:

  • Erik (voiced by Kouki Uchiyama)
  • Veronica (voiced by Maaya Uchida)
  • Serena (voiced by Sora Amamiya)
  • Sylvando (voiced by Masaya Onosaka)
  • Rab (voiced by Mugihito)
  • Jade (voiced by Ami Koshimizu)

      1. Oh, there’s an orchestral version of every single track in the game. He just submitted the MIDI arrangements for the actual game so people would have to attend his concerts and purchase his music separately for the real versions.
Nah man, the composer for Dragon Quest is a complete scumbag on many levels, I have no problem bashing him for DQXI’s awful soundtrack.

  1. Eh, this game keeps going and going, so I don’t think I’ve even seen the original ending.
Have they specified whether it’s a new ending to the long ass main game or the long ass post game?

  2. I may hold off on putting to many more hours into the PS4 version, as an RPG is so much more enjoyable when you can play from anywhere – even when that’s predominantly couch, bed, and grinding during household chores.

    1. Yup. It’s been in development hell. I think Square Enix expected NX to be more capable than the other consoles, so when they got the dev kit and it was closer to 1/10th as capable, it became a bit of an issue..
