    1. No, don’t think it had the best sound or music for starters. Those feel like they were just given to it as an easy option

    2. What game would you have like in place of God of War then? I think The 2019 DICE Awards had a fair judgement. But then again, we all have our opinion. What bothers me is Red Dead Redemption 2. It only received one award. The game was great and deserves more award.

      1. Honestly, I feel like an old man in the sense that I would need to be reminded what technically fell in the calender year in question. Though I feel I should preface that I have found God of War, as an entire franchise, to be profoundly overrated. It’s a series for people who prefer shiny things to substantive and significant input from the player. This has been the case since I played the original directly after playing Devil May Cry 3 and by comparison GoW seemed like a fisher price game for babies. So, if you’d like, you could say that this bias has driven me to disregard the GOTY unjustifiably.

  1. God damn! God of War, like how Kratos killed most of the gods of Olympus, killed most of the other nominees at the DICE Awards!

Anyway, congrats to God of War, Smash Ultimate, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Monster Hunter World, & the others that won awards.
