Capcom Announces First Devil May Cry Coming To Nintendo Switch

Those of you who have yet to experience Dante’s first adventure in Devil May Cry will be pleased to hear that Capcom is bringing the game to the Nintendo Switch. It’s being sold separately from the rest of the games and not part of the Devil May Cry HD collection that arrived on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Devil May Cry is coming this summer on Nintendo Switch.

  1. And if you buy it physically, you get to download the whole game! I made this up, but I feel it may be that or no physical at all.

  2. The first game, on its own, at this point in time, is not worth it. Having the first 3, with the ability to play them on the go, is where it starts becoming worthwhile. When I worked at Walmart in 2013, you could get the HD collection for PS3 and 360 for $15. How much are they going to charge for just the first game in 2019?

  3. I’m interested because I’ve never played it but I know this will be digital only in Europe like most of Capcoms games on Switch, which I hate.

      1. You might be correct – I wouldn’t be against the newer Devil May Cry for the Switch though !

  4. Yeah baby! Now I no longer have to use Project X Zone as proof Dante has been on a Nintendo system before.

  5. I’d buy the collection, if it came all on 1 cart for up to 50€.
Not going to pay 30€ for this single digital only game while that is the price of the collection on Steam..
Why does Crapcom think this cap still flies?
I don’t buy any “testing waters” excuse at this point.

    1. The HD collection costs 30€ in other platforms. You shouldn’t have to pay more for the same amount content.

      1. They don’t know how to sell it.
They could mitigate the cost of the cart by makin physical a “collectors edition”.
Big enough cart + some pointless crap, and it would definitely sell, especially if they made about enough to fill pre-orders.
Digital only I would not pay any more than it is on other platforms.

  6. I’m really annoyed with Capcom at the moment, mainly coz res 4 is one of my all time favourite games and I want it on my switch indefinitely, but I would of loved a nice physical copy, which I would of paid the £30 for even though that would still be too pricey, but here we are, digital only and £30 ( way too much).
And now this. I’ve never play dmc, but looks like a good game which no doubt will be overpriced and digital only.
Why the hell are they not releasing the same compilation as other formats.
Have they not tested the water enough already. One of the biggest names in gaming and they give us this, like this.
    Sort it out!!

Dude, you think this is new? Capcom have not been with it for years now. Here’s a list of SOME of the things they’ve done:
      1. Locked Content that is ON THE DISK behind a DLC Paywall for Street Fighter X Tekken
      2. Released an Ultimate edition for Marvel vs Capcom 3 in the same god dang year
      3. The entire treatment of Megaman prior to Megaman 11
      4. Released Street Fighter V with a pathetic 16 character roster, no arcade mode, and a horrific netcode
      5. Pretty much the whole of Marvel vs Capcom Infinite

I could go on but I think I’ve made my point.
