Japan: Yo-Kai Watch 1 coming to Nintendo Switch 10th October, remaster of 3DS game

We found out that the original Yo-Kai Watch is coming to the Nintendo Switch recently, but we weren’t sure whether it was a remake using the Yo-Kai Watch 4 engine or a remaster. Sadly, it seems as though it is the latter as it is the Nintendo 3DS game with HD visuals. Yo-Kai Watch will be released on the Nintendo Switch system on 10th October. You’ll be able to purchase it either physically or digitally depending on your preference. A western release date has yet to be announced.

  1. This literally looks exactly the same as sword and shield graphic wise, guessing will get a normal direct soon and it’ll be announce in the west, seems like this version will be better than the orginal on the 3ds

  2. But, but, but, but fanboys said that could NOT be done! What gives? They’re actually porting 3DS games? Since Wii U ports were done since it was a commercial failure means by the same logic that 3DS was a commercial failure, and they’re porting over its games so now more people can play it! You can’t have it both ways, BOTH systems saw ports!

    1. True. This opens up quite a few possibilities, but I can’t think of any ports I actually want from the 3DS.
