Nintendo follows Xbox and announces Game Trials for Nintendo Switch Online members

Nintendo has announced that its testing out Game Trials which will allow you to play full priced content for free for a number of days. If you enjoy the game you can purchase it at a reduced price on the Nintendo Switch eShop to continue your progress. Those with an Xbox One will know Microsoft has a similar program with third party games for Xbox Live Gold members.

The first title available as part of the Game Trials program is Mario Tennis Aces which will be available to try out for free from Wednesday 7th August until Tuesday 13th August. If you enjoy what you’ve played and wish to continue your progress then you can purchase the game on the Nintendo Switch eShop with a 33% discount. This promotion is only available to those with a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

  2. Thats cool but nothing has been announce in for north american guess they tell us a bit late what were in for, seems like the program starts august, I wonder if will get odyssey, allies, or botw.

      1. Thats neat but I already own the full version, japan is getting captain toad tho, nintendo uk tweet about getting aces, I’m sure Na will get some info soon tho (thats weird canada gets aces also but hey free game tho sounds really good)

  3. Hmmm this could actually get me to try out Fire Emblem. I’ve been tempted but I’m not sure it’s the sort of game I wanna drop 80 CND on.
