Japanese publication Dengeki is reporting that the recently released Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition has sold through 65% of its initial shipment. Over 300,000 copies were sold during the game’s opening week which is very impressive given the original had already sold a lot of copies on the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 4 in Japan.

  1. One of my favourite games this generation, and there have been a lot of good ones, so give it all the praise and accolades it deserves. Absolutely loving it

  2. I’d be interested in the international sales, and whether they’re higher or lower than that of the PS4 version. Since Dragon Quest is not as big over here and since a lot of people over here probably haven’t played the PS4 version, I’m wondering whether the Switch version might actually be doing even better here. I know that I’ve seen TV commercials for the Switch version a bunch of time, which I don’t remember ever seeing for the PS4 version back then.
