Nintendo Nintendo Switch

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been updated to version 1.1.0

As promised, Nintendo has released the day 1 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The update enables players to visit the islands that other players have with the NookLink feature from the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app, and it also fixes some bugs. You’ll also need to download this update if you want to experience the Bunny Day event that begins in April. Installing the update will net you an in-game Switch console that you can put in your home.

  1. How do you get a ingame switch when the game isn’t out internationaly, I know this is mainly for reviewers, but does the switch give you a minigame like the 3ds and wii u, are the 3ds and wii u even in new horizons.

  2. I was sort of disappointed with the update news, but apparently data mining has revealed most content originally cut to be returning in the future.

      1. Gyroids, special npcs, buildings, building upgrades, fortune cookies, FROGGY CHAIR, perfect fruits, art exhibit, there’s more that im missing.

But this update had added strings for the Cafe and Brewster, Gyroids, and Ok Motors from PC.

  3. How can a game get an update when it’s not even released yet? Speaking of it’s release, how the heck will anyone be able to pick up their preorders of Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Friday at Gamestop if all malls will be closed? I want that freakin’ poster. That’s the only reason I preordered it instead of just waiting to get it somewhere else. Is everyone who preordered the game at Gamestop gonna be forced to get a refund and buy the game somewhere else (and give up the poster)?

    1. Some areas have sent them out early due to corona, and japan is praticaly ahead in time so it should kinda be out for them pretty soon, gamestop just isn’t doing a midnight release so its fine they’ll be open the next day

      1. But I called Gamestop yesterday and the guy told me they were going to be closed until April 10th (possibly). UNLESS I misunderstood what he said. All I know is that I asked if they would be open Friday, and he said they were going to be closed. I’m totally confused.

      2. Did you preorder it? People who preordered animal crossing in those areas got it earlier, the rest have to download it digitally.

  4. Yes, I preordered it. And I haven’t even received a call from Gamestop letting me know if I’ll be able to get it tomorrow, or if they’ll be closed. Something tells me that I’ll be buying it somewhere else, and I’ll just have to say “Screw The Poster”.
