The long-awaited Animal Crossing: New Horizons launched worldwide on Friday and by all accounts everyone is thoroughly enjoying it. UK journalist Christopher Dring has revealed on Twitter that launch sales are 3.5x that of the last mainline Animal Crossing video game Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the Nintendo 3DS. He also went on to say that the launch week for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been bigger than the launch of all other Animal Crossing games combined, including the spin-offs. The full UK charts should be published online soon.

  1. The fact that you’re not allowed to have more than one save file per cartridge per console will keep me from buying this. That’s one greedy as hell practice I won’t support.

      1. I’ve only played the original Animal Crossing back on the GameCube. I planned on starting New Leaf but never got around to it. I think I’ll be fine. I don’t want them doing this with future games.

I’m not one of those people who state they are going to vote with their wallet but end up buying it anyways (like with what happened with Sword and Shield).
