The long-awaited Animal Crossing: New Horizons launched worldwide on Friday and by all accounts everyone is thoroughly enjoying it. UK journalist Christopher Dring has revealed on Twitter that launch sales are 3.5x that of the last mainline Animal Crossing video game Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the Nintendo 3DS. He also went on to say that the launch week for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been bigger than the launch of all other Animal Crossing games combined, including the spin-offs. The full UK charts should be published online soon.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a huge hit in the UK. Its sales are 3.5 times bigger than the launch of the last main game (on 3DS). Its launch week is bigger than the launch of all the other Animal Crossing games combined (inc spin offs). And that’s even without digital

The fact that you’re not allowed to have more than one save file per cartridge per console will keep me from buying this. That’s one greedy as hell practice I won’t support.
I’ll see how long you will last.
I’ve only played the original Animal Crossing back on the GameCube. I planned on starting New Leaf but never got around to it. I think I’ll be fine. I don’t want them doing this with future games.
I’m not one of those people who state they are going to vote with their wallet but end up buying it anyways (like with what happened with Sword and Shield).
ya kinda sux that you have to share islands on the same switch. Still though the game is lotsa fun
No wonder people hack their Switch
The pist Service here lost my Limited Edition AC Switch, and now I can’t order/get a replacement since it’s sold out everywhere. So annoying!
post* haha, I’m the one that’s “pissed”
