Nintendo Switch owners received a brand new system update last night bringing the console to Version 10.0.0. Vulnerability researcher Mike Heskin delved into the update and has discovered that it references an unannounced Nintendo Switch model which is listed as “nx-abcd” What is also interesting is that Mike reports that there is evidence of a secondary display of sorts, which is exclusive to this new model.
Interesting.
It will have 3G/4G capabilities.

It might be somewhat like getting a second screen somewhat similar to the wii u you could have ur orginal switch hook to the dock and the model can automaticly connect itself to the system just like a controller, just a hunch btw it could be a pro model upgrade.

Oooo doggy now that is a rumor. And it is built on a nugget of evidence, not just speculation and hearsay.
Would they make a clamshell switch? I don’t think 3DS, DS and Wii U ports are reason enough to make a new switch model. Has to be bigger idea, if this is to be true.
Virtual Reality related? Or maybe it is clamshell, but can also spin the top screen 180 and fold to back of console. Then in 1vs1 local play, each person could have their own screen, facing each other. Idk, stream of conscience here.
It’s probably just some accessory like Ring Fit. Or maybe a VR feature (as in 2 screens for 2 eyes)

Probably for switch pro/+, second screen could be like the new LG phone that just has a second display attachment. Hard to say why, I don’t think it would just be for ds/wiiU stuff. But could attach to the USB C.
Hmm, the first idea that came to my mind is that this could be taking the “play anytime, anywhere with anyone” tagline to the next level and would be a detachable second screen that you could set up and play separately with a single joy con in tabletop, as it’s pretty small when doing this two player currently. Not sure what the use of it would be for a single player though.
Maybe it’s like Mario Party, letting you use two separate consoles for one game.
I would enjoy recreating the Wii U that way~

“Switch Pro U” that finally gives us a USB DS player would be god-level.
I hope not because if Nintendo was working on games for the Switch, they delay the games when they already take forever to make games in the first place. I rather they just leave the hardware alone and just update digital rather than customers have to buy a new console yet no games. At this pace Pikmin 4 may never come.
