One month after SXSW 2020 was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and things have not seen any improvement. For SEGA, they announced last month that their SXSW Sonic announcements would be in “an all new format”, and it would be happening in April. Well, it is now April, and that is no longer going to be the case. The official Sonic Twitter announced that “with the world in its current state, and to keep our teams safe, we need to wait to show you our SXSW content until things have settled. Thanks for your patience, and we’ll let you know as soon as we have a date to share”. Their tweet is down below.

Even if they made the “””rumored””” Sonic adventure remake it’d be filled with boost gameplay style, wisps as powerups, a cringe worthy plot with baby-tier dialog for preschoolers, etc…

Sonic Mania 2 would certainly be a worthwhile game. Adventure remake with boost gameplay is the stuff of my nightmares, thanks for that!
