It is looking as though the performance of the forthcoming Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Switch system will be roughly the same as the previous game, Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Leaked config files show that the game runs at 378-540p when played in handheld mode and 540-720p when the system is docked. Our review of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will be published this week.
Pretty much how Xenoblade 2 yeah. But I’ll take it if it’s a steady 30 fps at least.
As long as the framerate doesn’t dip to hard, it will be just fine. But games like these makes me want stronger hardware from Nintendo.
2020 and Nintendo is still making games like its 2010…come 540p and 720p in 2020 u know nintendo is cheap and behind when u dont even get phone below 1080p today
Try running a game with similar graphical intensity to XC:DE at 1080p 30fps on a phone and tell me how it goes. Maybe you could on a top of the range phone – you know, the type that costs closer to $1000 rather than the Switch at $300.
Could be better, is 720p and lower gonna be the standard for docked gameplay on the Switch?
Are you fucking kidding me?! A port of a Wii game running at 540p in some situations?
pfffft this isnt a simple port.
378p 30FPS on a dedicated gaming system in 2020, what a joke
