The team over at Digital Foundry have been playing through the soon-to-be-released Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Switch. During their investigation they found that the action-packed JRPG’s resolution is between 504p to 720p when played in docked mode and 378p to 540p in handheld mode. We recently reviewed the title and gave it a solid 9. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Switch will be released tomorrow at retail and on the eShop.
Usually prereleases tend to have things that a patch will on day one such as fixing resolution and framerate and sometimes it takes a while for them to roll out that patch. Hopefully there is a day one patch that boosts the rez but otherwise I’m still excited for this game even with the rez being what it is.
Funny tht u say tht, since the “day 1 patch” released a day b4 u made tht comment. lol
I want to see the tree town the Nopon lives. I was impressed when I saw it on the Wii,
I think it will be improved over time but yea that docked resolution is pretty disappointing going by the numbers. But I loved the game on Wii so I’ll love it even more now that it’s been modernized. No matter
A bit disappointing, but maybe we’ll see some improvements if a Switch Pro ever releases.
